Boy, am i pissed!

i took a very long tie to craft a very long blog earlier and being the techno freak that i am, choose to backpage without saving the post, so now i am back to a blank page! ARRGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was saying how being Deepavali today makes not much diff to me since i am a paid bummer on most days. it does feel like a sunday though.

for the past few days, a lot has been happening to my Petal Pot biz. went to print my namecard at Bras Basah and after a big hoo-ha, it is finally printed and i m pleased with the result. simple task one may think but listen to my story. On Mon, i went with a floppy disk and shop 1 could not open the file and shop 2 did not have the prog in that version. fine, so i went home to resave and thot i will go back to shop 1 cos i liked the look of it. they managed to open the file but after discussion, they advised me to get rid of the border design on the card and they also did not have the kinda paper i was after. so next to shop 2 after i got shop 1 to downgrde the pic to a lower version for shop 2. u following? at shop 2, the lady could not open the thumb drive on any of the PCs! so i went back to shop 1 and ask if they could help me with the problem, she kindly assisted me altho i was not printing at their shop. went bk to shop 2, still could not open. i was most dejected already and thought, maybe it is a sign.....

i decided to venture to the 3rd floor and finally found this very jat-jat chinese looking shop, not hip at all, who could do all tt i wanted on the right paper too. i took the risk and decided to let them print it. was not very comfortable at the shop and the head designer (who i suspect is either the boss or major shareholder) is a man in his 40s, big belly, untidy short sleeve shirt and pants which looked like abt to burst, grey hair and a very "un-handsome" face, spoke chinese, had some gay mannerisms and quite bitchy too with his comments abt the other shops. but he could do what i asked, so i took a leap of faith and i'm glad i did. if not, i might really have given up and taken the whole saga as a sign that this flower biz is not meant to be.

speaking of the biz, my 2 sisters have been very busy and active with the pics and namecard design and logos and web etc tis week. none of the activities which i could make substantial contribution, other than to say things like, "can make it bigger", "wha do you think of the color". create more trouble if i try to help, like last night when my sis went to answer the fone and i pressed this one button and the graphics disappeared! and i did not know how to bring it back or undo the action! sigh.....i feel really handicapped and miserable that I am not so tech savvy and acquinted with the design progs like my sisters.

enuff said for now, Petal Pot may have a rough start but things will only get better.
at least, like Shin said, one must have dreams.
