HAPPY NEW YEAR!

First of all, a very Happy New Year to all my blog readers out there. Yes, to all FOUR of you.

How was your new year? I trust you all are clever enough not to make any resolutions since you will either not be bothered to keep to them after January or you will still do what you set out to do whether or not you made a resolution, so what difference does it make?

Speaking of which, Andrew and I spent New Year's Eve paying our local clinic a visit for a medical check-up to complete the process of being their patient and all. And guess what? I am the tallest I have ever been, 165cm. AND, AND, 10kg underweight according to the nurse! ho ho ho. Andrew on the other hand is (wait for this!)14kg overweight! Well, he admits to being overweight but... 14kg is depressing. As for my diagnosis, I don't think I am rushing to pile 10kg on my face to look like a chipmunk anytime soon. I reckon, the chart is like based on European body types....Still good to know though. so that night, we went to a Eastern Promise Curry House to stuff our faces somemore with Simon (his bro) and then to a local Windsor Castle Pub for some drinks and then watch fireworks at the carpark at the stroke of midnight. Not terribly exciting, but just the way we like it.

Dining room is on its way, slowly but surely to being cosy. We managed to paint the walls that we could paint before the new year came around, Chalk Stone which is best described as like an antique white if you know what i am trying to describe. The dining table and chairs have been there for a couple of weeks and we have actually been using it on and off. Still trying to sort out the dodgy damp coming thru the corner ceiling, suspected to be bathroom leak upstairs...still trying to solve the problem.

Still no snow altho it was expected to snow yesterday, but it is very cold and misty outside. Menses finally came yesterday amidst speculation that we may have a freak accident and be celebrating next Christmas as a small nuclear family. So there, sorry to disappoint anyone who is expecting to be an auntie (again, for some).

My 3 best dishes for 2007 are my 1)Chicken and Mushroom Pasta in Pesto Sauce (bottled of cos), 2)Chicken Stew with root vegetables and mushrooms with Rice Wine and 3)Thai Pad Thai Noodles with Prawns or Chicken.

OK, back to work on 7 Jan, scanning invoices for the council, and more job search for the elusive job. Wish me luck.

Really dying to bag some bargains at the post Christmas Sales but.

Happy 2008.
