i got offered and accepted a permanent job this week, starts 18 Feb, as a Project Co-ordinator. Plan is to learn the ropes fast and escalate to Project Manager in this smallish, but growing marketing firm. Pay is not fab but enough to start for now, not that I am swamped with offers.
Snow was expected last night or today, 1 Feb, but i only saw a small teeny tiny bit of snow shower when i came out of my shower at 4pm. Finished work at 12 nn today cos my office was moving and all we did most of the morning was packing up and labelling cables and putting away staples and rubber bands. Will be going to the new office for only a couple of days next week since it is further away to get to and will also cost more money and time.
Chinese New Year will be spent in Stourbridge this year with the husband. Not the first time being away from home during CNY but it is the first year being a married couple AND not having to give ANY ang pows! how lucky is that. I am going to miss the steamboat reunion dinner, especially the tasty soup right at the end... ahhh... Of cos the ritual of sitting in front of the telly for the Channel 8 Countdown show, watching the local celebs report from the various locations in Singapore. Goes something like :" Bing hai wan de peng you men, ni men how!" or like "Nio che shui zhe li how re nao. Ren shan ren hai." of cos the finale : "Wo men xian zai lai dao shu: 6, 5, 4, 3, Er, Yi! Xing Nian Kuai Le! " Cue: Fireworks.
Gong Xi Fa Cai and Shen Ti Jian Kang, everyone!
I miss you all.
